A tase of Scotland
I recently had the opportunity of visiting Scotland, commencing my adventure in Edinburgh staying at the iconic Balmoral Hotel which is a perfect blend of historic grandeur and Scottish charm. Edinburgh is like stepping into a living storybook—a city where ancient castles, dramatic landscapes, and a vibrant cultural scene all coexist beautifully. Start at the Royal Mile, the historic spine of the Old Town that stretches from Edinburgh Castle to Holyrood Palace.
Driving from Edinburgh to Braemar via the “Fringe of Gold” is one of the most beautiful road trips in Scotland. Spring in Scotland is such a magical time when the country wakes up from its winter slumber. Think wildflowers, spring lambs and flowering Heather
Whiskey tasting, bagpipe playing, picnics in the glen and hiking the misty mountains and ancient trails – these were just a few of the unforgettable experiences. The story goes that rain in Scotland is part the country’s charm and mystique, “she’s a lassie draped in mist and tartan”. The lassie was so well behaved during my visit, I shall have to return to see if that’s really true !!
