Exploring Switzerland with the Swiss Rail Pass
I’m back from my trip to Switzerland hosted by Swiss Tourism.
I was lucky enough to visit Zurich, Lucerne, Lugano and Zermatt all by taking the Swiss Rail Pass. From busses, trains, ferries metro and gondolas, it is clearly the easiest and best way to explore the country. You can even reserve seats using your pass which is ideal for busy periods.
Here are my thoughts on each stop:
Zurich: Easy city to get around either by foot or tram , beautiful old historic buildings, the old town and lake Zurich are gorgeous.
Lucerne: Charming little city at the base of the mountains and on lake Lucerne. Simply spectacular
Lugano: Borders Italy, very relaxed quaint vibe, again absolutely beautiful surrounded by mountains and lakes
Zermatt: Even though it’s known for being a Ski town, it is absolutely are fantastic place to visit during the summer. Base of the Matterhorn plenty to do all year round
I absolutely love Switzerland I would go back there in a heart beat, so much more to see and do.
