Travelling through the English Countryside in style

Michael has been to the UK numerous times but recently was able to experience the English countryside in a totally luxurious way. On a day trip from London, Michael celebrated his birthday on the amazing British Pullman by Belmond train. Pulling out from Victoria Station in London, Michael and his party settled into their plush armchairs enroute to Stamford. Before long a 3-course brunch with a Bellini was served, making it all that easier to soak in the rolling English scenery. Upon arrival, passengers were transported to Burghley House, for a visit of one the grandest 16th century houses in the UK. On the return, a sumptuous 3 course dinner was served and of course a champagne was offered to mark the celebration.

The British Pullman, a restored 1920s train, is a fabulous way to experience a Belmond train firsthand – they of course also operate the world-famous Simplon Orient Express. Next time you are visiting the UK, consider this unique experience, with lots of different days tours and destinations available. Michael can certainly attest this was the perfect way to enjoy a special celebration.
